When you're married, it means that you are uniting as one and making a promise to spend the rest of your life together. For a marriage to work, the two of you have to be solely invested in your relationship. It is important to make your partner your first priority and to do everything you can to make your relationship last.

If you're worried about the condition of your marriage, you must take action as soon as possible to reawaken your relationship and to eventually save your marriage.

Make sure that the two of you are spending enough time together as much as possible. Take a day off from your busy schedule and do something special for just the two of you. You can cook a special meal for two and have a candlelit dinner on your roof and under the stars. Or you could schedule a much-deserved vacation such as a weekend getaway or a trip out of town to relax and just spend some quality time with your partner. You can even get up very early in the morning to prepare a meal for breakfast or stop by his or her office to get a quick bite for lunch.

Having children and a high-pressure job that requires your full attention makes it really easy to forget to just spend some quality time with your spouse. Keep in mind that you are married to your partner and not to your job so make sure that you make him or her feel special and loved. It is normal to get into a fight or a heated discussion but you should never take it out on your partner if you are having a considerably bad day.

Take time to just be in the same place together and have a conversation. You will find that the most important part of a relationship is doing little things that allow you to spend time together and make each other feel loved. You have to always remember what it is that made you fall in love and never forget that he or she is the same person that you have chosen to spend your life with. Make every moment count and do whatever it takes to save your marriage because you are in this together and you love each other.
