Losing a job viewed in a constructive way can mean the door opening on unexpected new opportunities.

We all have things that we are frightened of, be it physical objects or situations. Facing up to those fears can give you a real lift and a feeling of achievement once you take on those challenges and achieve something you have been scared of in the past. These might just be small challenges but you will feel good afterwards when you have applied this as one of your self esteem activities.

Try to socialise with optimistic people. This will generate the knock on effect of you building self esteem and building a confident outlook on life. People who treat you well and with respect will make you feel good about yourself. Engaging other people in your self esteem activities will help you to build your own self respect. Being around pessimistic people will drag you down and reduce your self esteem.

Motivation can be triggered by a sporting event, song or by the achievements of someone else. Being able to make yourself motivated is a good way for improving self esteem and for increasing a belief that you can get whatever you require. Your motivation will ensure that you undoubtably be successful.

Don't be scared to give yourself praise after you complete or accomplish something that you thought was beyond your capablilities. Be aware when you have completed something to be proud of, as this will help with boosting self esteem and build self confidence. Valuing yourself will make you feel good about yourself; you will subsequently be conscious of your own worth. By implementing these self esteem activities your confidence will be given a lift immediately.
