Making money on your website is a very easy thing to do. The hard part is getting traffic to your website by promotion of your website. But it can be done.

There are various means possible to do this from submitting your website to search engines to traffic exchanges and beyond. You can find all this information and more out on the internet just by googling.

How effective some of these methods are is debatable but as long as you can begin to get a few people to visit your site that is all you need to start off with. The longer you try, the more successful you wil become in getting people to visit your website.

There is no magic bullet for getting visitors to your website, as it takes time, a lot of patience and hard work, but it will pay off for you if you persist.

I am just in the beginning stages of promoting my site Earning Money By Reading Emails but I am seeing some results. My traffic stats are beginning to rise, even though it may be slow, but they are consistent and my goal is to increase them greatly over time.

I will try any type of method to get visitors, and one of the methods that seems to work is by increasing my backlinks to my site. I have a noticeable improvement in the number of backlinks to my websiteI have noticed over time my backlinks have grown}, which has resulted in more visitors. And my personal favourite to increasing backlinks is by leaving comments at other peoples blogs, and websites. This is a time consuming method, and does not guarantee your comments will be published on all websites and blogs, but it does work.

The best way of doing this is by googling one of keywords while looking for blogs. I usually pick out a keyword, say earning money, and put it into a google search as "earning money blogs". From the results, I usually go through and pick a few sites that allow you to leave comments, and just leave a comment with your website address. Most of the times my comments are accepted, but sometimes they aren't or they need to be moderated first. Either way, over time you will build up more backlinks, even if you do 10-20 comments a day that are accepted. Over a 30 day period, you could have anywhere between 300-600 new backlinks for your website. And by just doing this, it will help improve your website ranking with search engines, thus increasing the number of visitors you receive.

Web promotion isn't just about knowing what to do but its also about trying things by trial and error. With a bit of patience and time, you will be able to get more visitors to your website. It is a matter of having abit of fun and trying different ways of doing things. To me, its more of a hobby than anything else but whether you are serious or not, be patient and try different methods, and use search engines like google to help yourself out.
