Knowing how to drive a vehicle is very necessary these days as vehicles have become one of the basic needs for everyone. To drive your personal or any vehicle you need to have a driving license which is a legal proof that you could drive and know about all of the regulations. To get it, many countries have their own examining tests in order to find out whether the interested applicant is capable of holding a driving license or not. With the test one gets a chance to show if they have the necessary skills to handle the kind of traffic conditions they may face daily. We should be aware of all the road safety skills even while learning driving as it helps us to stay away from getting into reckless driving or drunken driving. It is also intended to check whether the applicant is fully capable of driving on a chaotic road without posing any kind of risk to any of his fellow companions on the road.

To get a full driving license, you need to pass the theory test and the practical test. To give these tests you have to know the traffic laws, traffic signs as well as the regulations of the road. Following this will be a practical driving test. This rule began on 1st July 1997 and it would cost you £31.00 to get a license made for vehicle or a motorbike. A provisional license is provided before you get this license and for this you should have at least crossed the age of 17.

The Theory test comprises of two parts i.e. the multiple choice questions and the hazard perception test. This was included in the test on 14 November 2002. To own the license you must pass both.

In the multiple choice question you will be provided with various questions which will have a number of answers, up to six in total. You will need to choose the correct ones. There can be more than one answer to a question so read the question very carefully.

In the hazardous perception test you will be shown a relevant video clip associated with driving, where it will have a developing hazard which you will need to recognize and show your consciousness by simply clicking. You will be provided with a touch screen computer and headphones. You will get 14 video clips on the pc, each of about a minute. Maximum of 5 points is assigned to each hazard. You need a total of 44 points out of 75 points to clear the test.

You should take this tests very seriously as it is quite tough to clear them. To pass the theory test in the very first try it is better invest some time learning with the aid of a book or an online theory test instead of risk failing and losing the reserving fee. Most of the people don't succeed in the theory test in their first attempt. Most likely this is the hazard perception video clips but could be multiple choice tests as well. To improve your chances, it's best to prepare yourself on a pc which has similar tests as the ones that done on the test day.

For the practical test it is better to utilize a approved driving instructor (ADI) as they are qualified to instruct learner drivers and have a lot of experience teaching learners the relevant skills they require. Small but important things get neglected if you plan to do it all by yourself. So, it's preferable to learn from a trainer in a most convenient way instead of learning improper habits which are a danger to you as well as to other people that use the road. An instructor would let you know of each and every rule which you need to know while appearing for these tests.

Once you have passed both the practical and theory test you will have to inform the DVLA within two years to acquire the full driving license. If you do not apply within two years then you will have to take the tests again. After you apply the DVLA will be sending your license in less than four weeks.
