Driveways will need regular maintenance and cleaning to ensure they last for a long time and look their best. Cleaning the Driveway

These useful tools are very effective at cleaning large outdoor surfaces and will effectively blast away years of dirt and grime. You can use a suitable paving/concrete cleaner with the washer if you like but make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Extra caution is required if you have any flower beds or other plantings around your driveway when you are using chemicals in your pressure washer.

When you are using a pressure washer make sure you don't point the nozzle too closely at paving bricks or joints. This can cause damage and marks. You should also avoid using pressure washers directly on any areas that are already damaged such as cracks in concrete as this can make the damage worse.

Sealing the Driveway

Many professional cleaning services will also offer to seal the driveway after the cleaning process has been completed. This is a good way to protect your driveway against the elements and ensure it lasts much longer into the future. The seal will protect against oils spills and inhibit the growth of weeds, moss and lichen. A good sealant will also protect the material of the driveway against UV light which can cause the natural colour to fade over time.
