You should not ask for permission, though it concerns only rules established in your family. The rules existing in society are still in effect.

• Cons:

You have to bear responsibility for your actions. Everyone understands that this feature of the independent life is the basic disadvantage.

You cannot ask mommy or daddy to do something for you because you are an independent person and have to do everything on your own.

There are a great number of pros and cons in day-to-day life. We did not manage to recollect all of them. You should decide whether you want to grow up earlier.
