Does your kid suffer with lęseproblemer? - By: Thomsen Lucas

Most mothers suffer a lot when it comes to making their kids read. Kids suddenly come up with a headache, or stomach cramps or behave irrationally the moment they are made to read something. Don't worry it's a common problem. This does not necessarily imply that the child suffers from a very serious lęseproblemer or say reading problem, but if he does you may never know unless you have given a good try from your part in making him read; obviously not by force.

In olden days reading was a synonym to pleasure. Books were read in leisure, but now people hardly sit in the company of a book to read, and kids just follow the steps. They prefer spending their time with televisions, mobile games etc; too much of distraction! Also there is school homework to be done, and extra curricular activities leave a kid with hardly any time to spare for reading, other then text books.

Many lęseproblemer can be eradicated if reading is introduced at an early age. But who reads at an age of three? There are only malebog or say colouring books! Aren't they a good to start with! Parents can take the lead and introduce to the kids the joy of spending time with books, simultaneously give them some good stuff to read. Kid will love it if the stuff relates to a topic he likes. This will need a real digging, but with a little surfing on net one can easily find some good children literature. Stories by Ruskin Bond can be a good start.

But this is only possible if the parent loves to read, and if all this doesn't work, check if the kid has an eye problem. If there is any, take him to a Doctor, but even if a good pair of spectacles doesn't help then you'll need a specialist my friend.
