Why would anyone want an old mobile phone?

Many old phones allow emergency calls to be made from them, which can help out anyone in need of calling police that does not have a phone. Of course these phones have to be fully working, and only contemporary phones have these capabilities. If your phone is not working, such as if it is unable to hold a charge, has a damaged battery or doesn't function reasonably the former option of donating it to a place that can recycle mobile phone devices is the way to go.
