Do You Love Yourself? Secondary Virginity Brings Back Sexual Realization. - By: Francis K Githinji

Secondary virginity is when a person decides to become a renewed virgin after he/she has previously engaged in premarital sex. An individual decides to begin being chaste until marriage. Some individuals may have had sex only once while others may have had advanced in their sex life. When these people realize they were not ready for sex they might decide to stop having sex and acquire secondary virginity. This decision helps many people to place more value on their bodies. It is an acceptance of the immoral past and an energized attempt to face the future in a new, better light. When people opt to reinvent their lost virginity they are not pretending that they have regained their physical virginity but they do so to establish a fresh start on a clean slate. It shows that they have learnt from their past mistakes.

Any person can decide to attain secondary virginity regardless of the stage of the sex game they are in. It can be challenging if the environment is not favorable to the much wanted starting over. Many girls especially have confessed that they wish that they never had sex but they say they cannot stop abruptly since the boyfriend will not be pleased by the decision. The best thing to do is to disassociate yourself with people who influence you. If your current lover would not love it if you suddenly informed him/her that you want to abstain from sex, then retreat back to the fundamentals of your romantic relationship. If you find that he/she does not support or approve your decisions and beliefs, assess the foundation your relationship stands on and leave him/her if you have to.

Many people do not see the point of abstaining from sex once they have had it. Such people need to actually re-evaluate their lives. It might seem easier to maintain things as they are without causing any disturbances. This shows that such a person fears change and where there is change there is great progress. Abstaining from sex before marriage will not hurt in any way. You will have sex anyway after marriage. Plenty of it. Your decision to wait might be received with shock, laughter and others will even make fun of it. If you you stand true to your words you will notice others being drawn to your kind of life. Secondary virginity calls for personal discipline since there are no rules or governing stipulations. Unlike Primary virginity, you cannot be able to tell when one engages in sex. By preferring to become "born-again virgin" you change your sexual behavior and lifestyle.

Sexually active people who decide to abstain from sex acquire secondary virginity before marriage. Does it mean you do not kiss or cuddle? The period of secondary virginity in increasingly becoming the norm for many girls (brides-to-be) across the globe. It is well accommodated in our modern society especially due to disapproval of premarital sex in the religious teachings. It is never too late to become a virgin.
