Do The Claims of a FRS Healthy Energy Scam Hold Water? - By: John MacNamera

Weighing in as another perfect contender for a scam in the eyes of a lot of disgruntled people is FRS Healthy Energy drink.

FRS Healthy Energy drink is based around active ingredients such as Caffeine and Quercetin. The drink contains 10% fruit juice and is allegedly supposed to enlarge your heart, give you a boost of energy and boast antioxidants those free-radicals that are meant to detoxify your body of impurities.

It seems that there are hundreds of unsatisfied customers who have made comments online regarding the marketing strategy of the company, which offers a ‘free trial’ of the FRS product. The customer wishing to take advantage of the offer only has to pay $6 for shipping and handling.

It seems that the main complaint that people have regarding FRS Healthy Energy is directed at this ‘free trial’ offer and the eventual processing of customer payments. The customer will get a free sample pack of the product, and if the customer likes the drink they are then enrolled onto the monthly program which involves a shipment of FRS Healthy Energy to the tune of $64.99 per box plus shipping and handling.

So with a little research your writer has found out a few facts that are standing out as to why FRS is being perceived as a scam. Many people are simply not reading the disclaimer on checkout, which states quite clearly the outcome if customers decide not to be enrolled into the FRS program.

And so in the main it seems this is bearing a lot of fruit in the world of Scamdom!

The Disclaimer – on Checkout
Many people simply fail to read the small print of a company and its offers. Some small print may be in the terms and conditions of a website or legally on checkout after ordering a product.

Put simply, if a customer fails to read/print off a copy of any terms or disclaimers, then it is not the companies fault if a customer fails to realize a charge on their credit card the following month.

FRS Healthy Drink Disclaimer:

Click the “place order” button to the right to start your 14 day free trial of the FRS Healthy Energy System. You pay only for shipping and handling and have no obligation to buy anything as long as you call to cancel before the end of the 14 day trial period. If you do not call us at 1 888 377-7587 to cancel within 14 days of receiving your free trial you will be automatically enrolled in the FRS Healthy Energy System Club. As a Club member you will be sent a one month supply, which includes two servings of FRS per day, every month and will be charged the highly discounted rate of $64.95- that’s a 58% discount off of the price of buying a month’s supply of canned FRS in the store and shipping is free. You also get a 10% discount and free shipping on all FRS purchases at http://www.frs.com. As a Club member you’re free to cancel at any time at least one full business day before shipment with no penalty and you’re also free to change the products, flavors, and timing of your orders. Changing your order may change the monthly cost.

As you can see the disclaimer states exactly how the order will be processed. In no way is FRS withholding any information from the customer, and they are certainly not recording your credit card details during the shipping charge process in order to fraudulently charge your card and send another package the following month.

FRS Customer Services
I called to ask a few questions and was answered by a very polite customer service representative, who I asked what would happen if I returned the order in the given time.

I was told that I would be obliged to pay the shipping cost, but most definitely I would have the enrollment canceled. I stated concerns about the possibility that they may not receive the order back in time if the package was delayed in transit. The rep told me that I wasn’t to worry as long as I phoned to cancel the order within the 14 days as per the agreement made at purchase. She also said that if I felt that I could still not trust this option that I should still cancel with them over the phone, send the package back to them and contact my bank or card issuer to let them know that the charge should be canceled. She even jokingly stated with a giggle that if I did get billed that I should file a fraud charge with my card issuer. Why would she go to these extraordinary lengths to state such information if FRS were to rip me off?

Conclusion
FRS Healthy Drink; is it a scam? No not by a golden mile, what happens is people are quite clearly not reading the terms, and get the Internet-Scam-Phobia that seems to be going around at the moment. Yes there are scam companies out there, but FRS is not one of them.

I do however feel that the claims made regarding the products ability to inflate your heart and provide a big energy boost is slightly exaggerated. There are also cheaper ways to get a source of Quercetin by visiting you local health store or by eating apples.

10% fruit juice does not do the product any favors as any artificial substance cannot be as healthy as eating actual fruit and vegetables, which incidentally is much cheaper. The natural sugars in fruit can give a person as much of a burst of energy as caffeine.

FRS Scam – Hardly!

Exaggerated Claims – More than likely!
