Divorce is the dissolution of marriage. It refers to the termination of a matrimonial alliance which cancels the legal responsibilities of a nuptial agreement thereby dissolving all the conjugal agreements between the concerned parties. The legal procedure for a divorce changes with every country. Apart from some countries, a divorce requires a proper sanction from the court.

The legal process for divorce involves many other aspects like spouse support, child custody or child support or both and property distribution. The harsh word is a reality. It is a myth that two good people would become good partners as well. Circumstances have always been more powerful than human beings. 2 different people will always have 2 different perspectives, which can clash if one partner fails to realize this.

There can be a million reasons for the rise in divorce rates and it depends on the situation as well. Let's discuss some major causes of divorces.

Misunderstandings: - Life is the only program which falters even when it doesn't have any glitches. We need to understand that it is just not possible that people will perfectly fit in our life's puzzle. Lack of communication can cause misunderstandings; hence it is advised to discuss both sides of the coin openly so that these don't become foundations to future grudges. Misunderstandings boost ego clashes.

Immaturity: - Gray hair is not a sign of maturity; it's a sign of age. Maturity doesn't come with age, it comes with acceptance. This is something which most divorced couples give the reason for their mismatch. Most people readily accept that their partners are immature. Immaturity is nothing but lack of acceptance; irrespective of things being right or wrong. This lack of acceptance leads our mind to accept wrong answers to our beliefs. Being calm and composed might be seen as a sign of maturity but maturity literary is the capability to accept our mistakes and rectify them.

Stress: - This is something which is unavoidable, but can be reduced by being in a correct frame of mind. Adequate holidays and proper work schedule help reducing the stress level. Stress leads to problems which could have been easily avoided if a person manages to remain calm and composed.

Unrealistic Expectations: - Movies, novels and our minds have reinstated the myth that marriages are fairy tales. “People of the same caliber cannot stay together happily until both have something which the other requires and can't get easily,” goes a saying. In some cases, happy marriages happen when one of the partners is ready to accept the dominance of the other partner in some form or the other. But most of us agree that for a majority of marriages which are a consequence of love, words like ego, dominance just don't arise.

Apart from being responsible for the rise in divorce rates, the above factors are also connected with each other. The society has a different view all together about the concept, but there is nothing to be ashamed about when it comes to being divorced. We try, we fall, we learn, we rise.
