You will have to just deposit your useless mobile phone with them.
Actually, ninety percent of the materials of a handset could be recycled. A list is given below regarding the materials which could be recycled.
¢ Mobile phone chargers can be recycled to recover copper.
¢ Mobile phone handsets can be recycled to recover the plastics.
¢ Circuit boards inside mobile phone handsets can be recycled to recover precious metals such as gold, silver and other materials like copper, lead and zinc.
¢ Accessory devices, including the headsets, power packs and clips can also be recycled to recover the plastic.
¢ The rechargeable batteries are recycled for their nickel, iron, cadmium, lead and cobalt.
There is another option to sell these phones. There are number of companies, which could be found by out making internet search. You could contact one of these companies. When you inform them about the model you want to dispose off, they will offer a price for buying. If you accept the offer, they will ask you send the set to them by post and send you a check after receiving it at their end and looking into the condition of the set. They are also involved in recycling your used mobile phone . But, you will definitely earn more than selling it to a reseller.
