Developing Personal Branding - By: Peter Blackman

Your Personal Brand is how you are perceived by others, your expertise, how you interact with others you come in contact with and yes even how you present yourself through your website and the internet. In todays world their are all kinds of available techonologies that give all of us the opportunity to brand ourselves.

Without these technologies that a are available today branding ourselves could take lots of money and could be unachievable by ourselves. It still can take time but with the internet, a website and social networks Personal Branding is at least possible.

The hardest part of branding yourself is deciding what you want to be known for. With the internet and all that it avails anyone can make a difference and become a force that can make a difference.

One of my passions is teaching the process of branding and showing others how to do branding also. You see having a passion to change the world is not enough. One needs to know how to let others know what your passion is so your passion does not go unnoticed.

We see examples where one person takes a simple concept or a passion to do something and becomes an unstoppable force in raising money and changes the lives of others because they care or because they were personally touched by something that happened to them or a love one.

People who do things for others without looking for a pay back are branded as being caring and as a good person. In the market place you can become a person who gives and seemingly never stops giving and brands themselves as a person or company that stands for honesty, integrity and who really cares about who they touch and how they are perceived.

Your brand lives in every day to day interaction you have with your market and your surroundings:

1.The images you convey

2.The messages you deliver on your website, proposals and sales materials

3.The way you interact with your customers

4.A customer's opinion of you versus your competition

An important part of Branding Yourself is Relationship Building. Through the use of autoresponders or newsletters or blogs you have to continue to help the people you are communicating with. At some point the intent is to gain their trust so they want to listen to what you have to say and they just want to be part of what you are doing.

If you want to capture significant market share, start with a strong and unique brand identity. In Affiliate Marketing one of the keys is Branding Yourself. This process entails Article Marketing, Video Marketing and the understanding of the technologies and how keywords place an important part in people knowing that you even exist on the internet.

Writing Articles that arouse people's interest to the point where they look foward to the next article you publish. Having videos produced that not only educate but entertain you as well.

Successful branding creates "brand equity" - the amount of money that customers are willing to pay just because it is your brand. In addition to generating revenue, brand equity makes you more valuable over the long term.
