Gratitude

It is always insensible to expect gratitude from others and especially from children. Some children may be full of thanks and appreciation, but remember you are their parents and you are doing all this for love, not for reward, gratitude or thanks.

You can never ask your children for this favor, if they give you, enjoy it and if they don’t still enjoy your time with them. Yes, you can ask them to be polite and thankful, but still it depends on your children either they take it and give or take it and no give.

Grazing

Nibbling like a sheep is common in many children. If pasture is of good quality, grazing is not unhealthy. Grazing is favorite way to feed for many children and other just grazed out to pass their boredom or ennui.

But grazers are always in need to have an easy access to some snacks, fruits, cookies, bread, and unflavored milk and so on. What you need to do is to divert the attention of the children towards some healthy activity and when grazers are out to play, lock away the snacks and other goodies.

Hair and eyebrow plucking

Hair and eye bro plucking is also common in children. You often find your children nibbling or pulling out their hairs. And in school, you find many children without eyebrows, or with thin hairs etc.

There can be any reason behind it. It can be due to tension or may be the habit of these children. It has often been observed that when children feel bore, falling asleep, or lost watching television, they usually pull or chew things. At this particular time you can use any other way to divert their attention by giving them any other thing like worry ball. Never ridicule them.

You can also have them attractive eyebrows and lashes and fancy hairstyles to distract them from pulling or plucking their hairs and eyebrows.

Often hairs fall without any reason. Sometimes, it is due to stress but most of the time there is no reason behind hair falling. So, you need not to worry, it can be due to alopecia areata. For reassurance you can visit skin specialist or pediatrician.

Interrupting

Interrupting is a common trait in children who are forgetful or impulsive. Impulsive children are mostly short tempered and burst out immediately. Forgetful children on the other hand need to deliver their words immediately lest they will lose them. Encourage them to wait and keep the conversation process going.

Interrupting a forgetful child with a cue word is great way to help them. What you need to do is to keep repeating the conversation rules. Ask different question to the forgetful child related to a cue word.

The best way is to use role play. Through role plays you can teach them how to interpret the body language. You need to tell them through your body language that when you are receptive and when your eyes are telling them to give up.
