Danica Doing It BIG At Daytona. - By: Edward cooks

Still the talk of the town, whether in speedway racing or showing skin in the Super Bowl commercials to promote .co-hosting service with GoDaddy, Danica Patrick continues to make her presence felt. But if there’s one thing she wants when she’s behind that wheel is to be feared. Feared by the other drivers, crew chiefs of other teams and all her haters online who feel she isn’t worth her weight on the speedway racing tracks just as much as those watching the Super Bowl drooled and logged on to see the too-hot-for-primetime-television versions of the ads on GoDaddy.com.
Come the start of the 2012 Sprint Cup series, the dream may see the dawn of the day. An alliance between the Stewart-Haas and Tommy Baldwin racing teams has been finalized, giving Danica Patrick a guaranteed starting spot in the Daytona 500. Many in the speedway racing community feel appalled by this, stating that the GoDaddy princess didn’t quite deserve the nod. The spot, coming in the wake of the alliance, gives Danica Patrick the opportunity to drive Tommy Baldwin’s No. 10 car for 10 Cup races as she participates full-time in the Nationwide Series. "We've been working on this for a while,'' Tommy Baldwin said in a statement to ESPN, "Obviously, there were a lot of things we had to work through to make sure we were all on the same page, to make sure we get Danica the most time on the track for 2013 and allow me to show that we're a team to work with."
Baldwin also confirmed no conflicts between TBR, NASCAR, and Chevrolet in having Danica Patrick use Hendrick Motorsports’ engines on the speedway racing tracks. And only does she get Reutimann’s ride, she’s got Greg Zipadelli—his crew chief—as well. The purpose of this is to get Danica Patrick “prepared for 2013” but if she gets out there and steals the show with a Daytona 500 victory, she’ll finally instill the fear she put her IndyCar opponents into with her driving capabilities. When asked about her outlook against the rest of the pack in the season-opening classic, Danica felt pretty good about Daytona. "I can confidently tell you the reason I came over here was because of the cars and racing," Patrick said. "If I wanted to come for the platform and the bigger base of all kinds of different things, I would have done it a lot earlier, because those opportunities were there and the interest was there."
