With its memorable historical landscapes, spas and variety of activities, it is little wonder that the Czech Republic is fast becoming a tourist hotspot. Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic boasts of many well preserved historical sites and is also the historic centre of Prague is named in the UNESCO world heritage sites. Prague along with Central Bohemia was virtually untouched during the World War II and therefore its historic architecture was not damaged. Marvel in the stunning architecture of old building, visit ancient castles as the Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world, be inspired by the variety of art on display and indulge in the delicious local cuisine.

If you are looking for a quiet holiday amidst nature visit the borders of the Czech Republic to take in mountains, planes and spectacular countryside. If you are looking for a holiday with a little more adventure then make sure to visit the National Parks and also partake in the many activities available ranging from summer to winter sports. To relax and unwind visit the world class spas that are scattered around the Czech Republic. Some of the largest and oldest spas can be found in West Bohemia, where you are guaranteed to be pampered as you relax in a picturesque surrounding and let your body and mind be refreshed. West Bohemia also has many medieval towns that have been well preserved and are worth discovering during your holiday.

Visit Moravia to come across the oldest and largest open aired museum in Central Europe that boasts of regional folk architecture that dates back to the 17th to 19th Centuries. South Bohemia also boasts of folk Baroque which is breath taking and well worth looking into as you will learn about the history and past that the Czech Republic has to offer its visitors.

North Bohemia is a romantic, secluded holiday destination filled with breathtaking mountainous scenery, sandstone rocks and historical monuments. Visit Zatec, especially in September to enjoy the finest beer during the ending of the hop harvest. The town also has an abundance of history and monuments which are waiting to be discovered and admired. Also make sure you drop by the Krusne Mountains. Situated between the connecting line of the Krusne Mountains and Bohemian Central Highlands lies the town of Teplice. Teplice has the oldest Spa in the Czech Republic and is famous for its elegance and is rumored to have been visited by many of the rich and famous.

The best time to visit the Czech Republic would be in May or September. The weather is mild and pleasant and the tourist season hasn’t peaked so you will be spoilt for choice. July and August are peak tourist times so expect the popular locations to be a bit crowded. If you visit in April and October you will find that the Czech Republic is less crowded and also that you will be able to find better deals when travelling there.
