Manually operated cuckoo clocks are a bit clumsy and require manual rewinding. The quartz battery powered cuckoo clocks are practical and efficient. They allow a lot of activity and saves your time as well.

1 day and 8 day cuckoo clocks

In the past there were 2 types of movements – the 8 day movements and the 1 day or 30 hour movements. These types of cuckoo clocks often have musical movements and after the hours and half hours are struck, a Swiss music box plays a tune.

The 8 day clocks sound the melody at full hours and the 1 day clocks sound the same both at half hours and full hours. When the music box starts playing, other kinds of automata inside these musical cuckoo clocks start moving. These ones have mechanical bellows.
