Creating a Customised Display Stand - By: jackauthors

Once you have discussed the concept for your display stands with a suitable designer, it will all be a pretty straightforward business. They will work with you to create a perfect stand that is as close as possible to your original idea. If there are any additional features that you would like to incorporate then you can, whilst anything you deem as being unnecessary can just as easily be removed.

Custom stands can also be constructed from a variety of different materials. Most suppliers will have a choice that includes; fiberglass, plastic, vinyl, pressed wood and aluminum. And not only are these materials strong and durable, but they are also very pleasing to the eye. An exhibition stand that is made from any of these materials will look elegant, sophisticated and thoroughly professional. The other enormous benefit of using these to create your display is that they are incredibly lightweight; this will prove to be very useful when it comes to moving it from A to B.

One factor that will require careful consideration with your display stand is size. Having an exhibition stand that is of exactly the right dimensions is quite a tricky business. Obviously, the larger a display is, the more impressive it will be; but remember that trade shows are normally pretty busy affairs. Each company will only have a limited amount of space for their display stand and it is important that yours will actually fit in!

Large stands may normally be more attention-grabbing, but they can also be too big... if your display is of particularly mammoth proportions, then it can end up looking a little intimidating to your visitors! There are also dangers involved in having a display that is too small. Your visitors will not want to be squinting to read the text describing your products. Besides, if your display stand is just not large enough then it will simply end up being ignored.

You will also need to decide on any additional effects for your customized display. Monitors, spotlights and audio systems are all worth thinking about, but don’t make it overly complicated. You will have the task of setting up or dismantling your display at each event and it should all be kept as simple as possible!

When you do approach an exhibition stand designer, it is always advisable to request a 3D scale model of your stand. Once they have created one of these you will be able to see exactly what the finished article will look like. If any modifications are necessary, then it is always better to be aware of them before work has begun on the proper full sized stand.
