The first thing we learn is that just because you are married does not mean you are passionate. They have different meanings and present totally different concepts. Remember, in order to have a great marriage you must also have passion and intimacy. Intimacy is the substance that enables the people involved in a relationship to enjoy each other all the more.

Intimacy: Intimacy is defined as the condition of being private or personal. Each couple needs time to grow close by expressing their deepest thoughts. As you express your thoughts, loves, passions, and desires with each other you will begin to see how the person you fell in love with is still there and ready to be loved even more. By creating this bond of intimate relations we see how we are loved and accepted by each other - it is the best feeling.

Putting in the time to stoke the flames of love is a priority for those that want to make love last. In order to create intimacy we must create spaces in which we do not judge our mate. We must also not be critical of them. But find ways to enjoy them for who they are as a person.

Allow your spouse to hold your attention: we all want to be paid attention to, so give that to your spouse. Paying attention to your spouse shows them respect and honor as you walk through life. Doing things like looking at them when they speak and repeating back to them what they say shows them that you care.

Then again, it is important for partners to take time to listen to what each other thinks and feels. We all need a life where we can dream together. Talking about your future and just dreaming is so important as you talk. Take to just listen to each other.
