Create Your Website Today - A Guide to Getting Started in Kompozer - By: Hugo Witt

• Double press Kompozer to open it.


• First insert a table on the page to work in. To do this go to Insert (top strip options) and Click on Table.


• An alternative window opens called Insert Table - select the first box/square, this is known as a 1 x 1.


• Now Click within your new table and hit the Return key a couple of times to make space to work in.

• Note the blue bar presents itself your page will currently say untitled - Kompozer.


• Click Ok and note your brand-new page Title.

• Now we should save what we've done so far - Go to Save you (under top row of options).


• A new window opens called Save Page As - note everything for our webpage must go inside our new project folder.


• Click on the drop down menu, select Desktop and discover your project folder.


• In the Save as type (down the underside), from the drop off menu select All Files so as to see everything already inside folder e. g. your images.


• Your home page is always called index. html. Therefore, where it says Report name (down the underside) change it to help index. html.


• Visit Save (over to the right).

• To insert an image go to Image (under top row of options) and mouse click on it.


• An alternative window opens called Image Properties.


• In the first box where that says Image Location there is an open yellow folder on the end.


• Mouse click on this folder. A brand-new window opens called Decide on Image File.


• In the top drop down menu find assembling your project folder and open it to see your images.


• Click the image you ought to insert.


• Make certain Don't use alternative words is selected. Fancy a background colour for your table? Click format to the drop down menu and select table properties. A dialogue box shows with 2 tabs - make sure table is selected. We can do 2 things:
  
  1. Search for content alignment. This will align most of the contents in a kitchen table in both a horizontal and vertical direction. We can select left from your drop down menu for horizontal alignment and prime for vertical alignment. Tick the boxes near to them. This will mean that text positioned in any cell will appear others in terms of the cell (rather than the middle or bottom) and left justified.
  
  2. Now change the background colour by simply clicking the little square next to background colour. Another dialogue box opens, with several colours, so pick an individual you fancy and mouse click OK. That dialogue box closes along with the previous one now shows a colour in addition to a tick next to "background colour". Click apply and OK. Your table will now get coloured. However, we really need the central, vertically become a member box, a different color. Highlight the central box, use format and table properties and this also time make sure your cell tab is made itself known yet. Change the colour as above. You should now take over a two tone bench. Go to the top cell and put a few text in. As you type the box will increase in size.
  
  To change the text size, highlight the written text and chose format/text size from the drop down menu together with chose xxlarge. The text will change size. Click on format again and chose font, and pick your desired font. Mouse click format again and decided on text colour. You should now take over a 2 tone kitchen table, with a large shaded title. Insert your text elsewhere, and click with save file. Want to see what you have released? Click on browse icon inside toolbar and the webpage you have created will appear in your browser window. This is not really yet on line, but you are only one step faraway from doing that. Creating your own website is simple and easy. It is worth beginning with scratch to understand an overview. Then if you want to use a template you will realize it's easier to edit yourself.
