Correct your fast food diet with inner cleansing - By: Janelle Elizabeth

"Super Size Me" a documentary made a few years ago, fueled a huge debate over the health risks, or otherwise, of frequently eating at fast food restaurants.

After 30 days of eating huge servings at the same fast food, Spurlock exhibited signs of liver damage, causing alarm to his fiancée, vegan chef and health counselor Alex Jamieson.

To help reverse the effects of the experiment, Jamieson placed Spurlock on a detoxification diet that effectively cleaned his colon and brought him back to good health. Thus, much attention has not only been placed on the ill effects of the Standard American Diet (also known as "S.A.D.") consisting of high fat, high sodium and high sugar food but also on the importance of regular inner cleansing.

Because the fast food craze extends beyond the US, the Standard American Diet is not just confined to that country. The S.A.D. is unhealthy mainly because it lacks fiber and healthy nutrients while it is high in sugar, caffeine, salt, fat, alcohol, additives and chemicals.

Whether taken regularly in small amounts or in a huge sitting, these substances can cause digestive problems. They are not easily digested and usually remain in the colon for years unless it is cleaned out with the help of inner cleansing ingredients.

The toxic build-up contributes further to the difficulty of the colon to eliminate waste leading to a vicious cycle of accumulation and non elimination. Typically, fiber from plant sources and plenty of water taken daily can do the job for your colon.

If you have been on a Standard American Diet for a long time, you may have to undergo colon cleaning for weeks before experiencing positive results. However, inner cleansing works well only if you avoid eating junk food altogether.

Instead of consuming fried food and sugary drinks, you need to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables and to drink more water.

Inner cleansing is not just for those who eat fast food everyday. Eating fried and unhealthy foods can make you an ideal condidate for detoxification.

In her book entitled, "The Great American Detox Diet: Feel Better, Look Better, and Lose Weight by Cleaning Up Your Diet," Alex Jamieson takes note of a British medical journal that reported how eating fast food for as little as twice a week can increase your risk of developing diabetes.

But inner cleansing isn't just for fast food consumers.
