Seminars, classes, conferences, and workshops call all meet standards.

In Washington state, the rules are much different, requiring 60 hours of CE every three years and an additional four hours devoted to ethics. Laws regarding continuing education for psychologists can also change annually to reflect the needs of the current population and may include mandated courses in specific areas such as drug counselling. Keeping up to date is important in order for a professional to practice legally.
