Companies Training In CompTIA Network Plus Clarified - By: Jason Kendall

Were it not for a constant influx of trained computer and network support personnel, industry in the UK (and around the world) would inevitably run into problems. We have a constantly increasing demand for people to support both users and the systems they work with. Our requirement for better technically qualified people grows, as we become consistently more dependent upon PC's in the twenty first century.

Your training program should always include the latest Microsoft (or Cisco, CompTIA etc.) authorised simulation materials and exam preparation packages. As many examining boards for IT are from the USA, you'll need to be used to the correct phraseology. It isn't good enough simply going through the right questions - they must be in an exam format that exactly replicates the real thing. 'Mock' or practice exams can be very useful as a tool for logging knowledge into your brain - so that when you come to take the real thing, you won't be worried.

Does job security really exist anywhere now? In the UK for example, where industry can change its mind whenever it suits, there doesn't seem much chance. Whereas a marketplace with high growth, where there just aren't enough staff to go round (due to a big shortfall of commercially certified professionals), enables the possibility of true job security.

Looking at the computing market, a recent e-Skills study demonstrated a twenty six percent shortage in trained professionals. Accordingly, for every 4 jobs available throughout Information Technology (IT), companies can only find certified professionals for three of the four. This troubling idea reveals an urgent requirement for more commercially accredited computing professionals throughout the country. Actually, gaining new qualifications in IT throughout the coming years is probably the best career choice you could ever make.

It's so important to understand this key point: You have to get round-the-clock 24x7 instructor and mentor support. You'll definitely experience problems if you don't. You'll be waiting ages for an answer with email based support, and phone support is usually just a call-centre who will just take down the issue and email it over to their technical team - who will attempt to call you within 24-48 hrs, when it suits them. This is all next to useless if you're stuck with a particular problem and can only study at specific times.

If you look properly, you'll find the top providers which recommend and use direct-access support 24x7 - at any time of day or night. Look for a training company that offers this level of study support. Only proper live 24x7 support gives you the confidence to make it.

Students hopeful to get an Information Technology career usually haven't a clue what route to consider, let alone what area to obtain accreditation for. What is our likelihood of grasping the many facets of a particular career when we haven't done that before? Maybe we haven't met someone who is in that area at all. To get through to the essence of this, we need to discuss many unique issues:

* Our personalities play a starring role - what kind of areas spark your interest, and what are the areas that you really dislike.

* Are you hoping to obtain training for a certain raison d'etre - for instance, are you looking at working at home (self-employment?)?

* Is salary further up on your priority-list than some other areas.

* Learning what the main Information technology roles and sectors are - and what makes them different.

* The time and energy you'll have available to commit the training program.

For the average person, dissecting all these ideas will require meeting with an experienced pro who can explain things properly. And we're not only talking about the accreditations - but also the commercial expectations and needs also.
