Classic English literature-history - By: Anna Petrescu

Various factors do contribute to the diverse reasons that propel specific group(s) to migrate from one area to the other, generally, social survival, economic hardships, civil unrest or drought among others do significantly affect the living patterns of our diverse communities. For instance, the Cubans uprising in early 1959 compelled many Cubans to flee to Hialeah, Florida; this movement which ceased in late 1999 created what is commonly known as “affordable Eden”. However, Hialeah demographic setting today is accredited to Cubans Fidel Castro rise to power. Being an immigrant’s hot spot, most groups have left indelible imprints in an attempt to capture the imagination of the world while fighting for survival. Hence, the movement of immigrants from Cuba, Haiti and other Latino speaking groups, to Hialeah has impacted heavily on this community.
Therefore, for a significant number of years the influx of foreigners have almost virtually “hijacked” and dominated this area as far as economic supremacy is concerned, hence the proliferation of Spanish which is rapidly spreading edging out English and Yiddish and other ethic languages in the area(Tergat 55). Extensive studies into immigration has established that most immigrants, population movements and assimilated settlement patterns do facilitate the growing ethnic diversity, creating a newer phenomenon where the immigrants have empirically influenced the locals to adopt their cultures which have culminated into locals embracing Spanish in almost all spheres of their daily life. Therefore due to the large number of foreigners who have their root in Spanish speaking nations, the locals have been subjected to accept the Spanish as one of the first line language of choice as compared to English. This is creating a newer culture where the speech of the natives has been intricately affected. All in all, with the promising magnitude of ethnicity and the augmented effects of isolation, Cubans inside Florida have attempted successfully to reaffirm the Spanish language. Additionally, social integration has tilted towards ethnicity meaning, economic supremacy, media and the religious establishments has also adopted to the order being injected in the streamline culture by the immigrants who have revolutionized the scope of this metropolitan setting.
Another factor that is affecting how the natives are being robbed their ethno-language is the geographical endowments which have proved to be favorable to the growing population of Spanish speaking Cubans, comparing this with English speaking natives, the diversity and variation is considerable, this is notable in that the ratio of English speakers is considerably diminishing, and this is also in relation to Haitian cleole, though heavily spoken but have no gainful impact (Albert 100). Thus, the influx of aliens coupled with the emergence of illegal drug trade, and the alienation of Hispanics who have a tendency to remain or to be concentrated in one area, too, has seen the Spanish gain ground due to its simple ,sensational and romantic texture. In actual fact non-Latin communities do resist the rise of the Spanish speech as a budding power within Florida.
However, other contributing factors, as preservation of cultural identity has seen the Cuban population rise to a position of affluence where they have retained their status quo through the establishment of venues and ghettos where the proliferation of this language has outshined other alien languages significantly. Hialeah nowadays is seen as one of the most efficiently booming immigrant enclaves in the country, and one of the solitary manufacturing cities poised for financial augmentation.
With its open closeness to Miami, Hialeah is an enormous city that offers numerous the preferences of living close to Miami and not in Miami. Hialeah or Miami 33012 is close to the beach, several entertaining opportunities, sporting actions, fine schools, grand warm conditions and numerous diverse kinds of people. Miami 33012 is in reality a melting jar of customs, custom, food, art, morals, creed, and values. Thus, despite all influences rotating all rounds or within the borders of Hialeah, the uncontrolled movement of the people, cultural patterns and the overall business atmosphere has set the standard between lesser spoken languages and the conflicting usage English, Spanish, Haitian French Creole, and Yiddish.
In conclusion, the usage of languages has been eroded by the way people has been reacting towards others cultures while adopting the friendly tongues, hence, the growth of some specific languages while others have became predominantly dormant due to cultural impacts and social inclination(Lionel 96).
