Chronic Pain Relief? - Take This Pain Test And See If Your Pain Is Chronic! - Nurse's Test - By: Helen Hecker

If you have pain you may not know whether it's considered acute or chronic. Pain relief treatment options may be different if it's chronic than if it's acute. Pain is the body's way of letting you know that something is wrong. So of course when the problem/problems are solved then the pain should go away. Sometimes it continues even after you're sure you've solved the problems. When this happens your pain is considered chronic.

Chronic pain should never be ignored and always be treated. Natural treatment if that's an option, but it should be attempted first.

Suffering from chronic pain and not attempting to find a solution or cure will not help it get better. One may have to bite the bullet and do something about it. It can be very wearing on the body and immune system to continue suffering. Often people think there isn't anything else they can do. Often suffering for days and weeks on end thinking they have pursued every avenue or perhaps it's keeping them from exploring all their options.

New problems can develop if it's ignored so if you're suffering you want to make sure to continue looking for solutions so you can get the pain relief you need.

Here is my chronic pain test:

Answer yes or no to the following questions:

1. Have you been hurting for more than two months?

2. Does the pain affect your sleep in such a way that you really can't sleep as you normally would?

3. Are your current treatments or medications not controlling it?

4. Is the pain making you depressed or have feelings of hopelessness?

5. Is it causing you to lose time at work?

6. Is it interfering with your normal daily schedule and activities?

Add up your yeses and nos. If you answered yes to MORE than one question you may have chronic pain.

This test will give you some idea whether your pain is chronic or acute. Whether chronic or acute, there may be plenty more you can do to get rid of it. There are many treatment options and many natural treatment options that are available but may take a little more looking on your part. DO NOT give up. I know many people who have found the answer but it took a little research. Of course there are always pain management specialists and clinics, although many of the treatments may not be natural solutions and you may not have the health coverage you need. But your goal is to get rid of the pain. Whether your pain is back, neck, cancer pain or anything else there's plenty you can do and not all treatments involve painkillers, medications or injections.

Continue to do your research and you'll eventually find relief. If you have two or more sources then combined that can make it worse overall. Getting rid of one will lighten the load too. Don't give up and make pain relief your number one priority. There is a very good chance you can get rid of it once and for all.
