Choosing the right retail design agency - By: xhelbelx

Recently I have set up my own business, not the easiest thing to do. I must admit it was a real struggle, so I thought I would write some information that I think will be useful for people starting out in business. I wish I had been given this information when I first started. I have linked in the text a couple of websites and agencies that really helped me move forward with my business.\r\n \r\nEveryone wants their shop to stand out and look better then the shop next door, so finding the right retail design agency is key. There are so many things to consider before picking an agency. First things first you will need to write a detailed brief of your requirements as most agencies will ask to see a brief so that they can understand your project straight away. Make sure you put as much detail as possible as this will help further down the line.\r\n \r\nNext, Research is definitely necessary when it comes to picking the right agency. Take your time, have a look on different agencies websites and ask yourself, have they worked on similar sized projects to yours? Do they have similar types of clients like you? Have they worked for any of your competitors? What sort of experience do they have? Do you like what they do? It is best to shortlist your agencies down to 3 or 4, and then make initial contact.\r\n \r\nAt this stage you would ideally want to meet each agency, if you have the opportunity and time it would be a good idea to have the meeting at their office so you can get a feel for them and what they have to offer. Once you have met with all of your shortlist, don’t just pick one of them for the sake of it. If you are still unsure if they are right for you then go back to your original list and start again. \r\n \r\nOnce you feel confident you have found at least one agency that you feel you will be able to work with, you will need to ask for a quote based on the detailed brief you have previously given. Most agencies will ask you if you have a budget, if you have a tight budget then you are best to let them know, (this could be a real time saver as some of the agencies you have spoken to may not be able to deliver your requirements in the budget you have given). On the other hand if you have a larger budget it may work in your favour to not disclose it at this stage, as most agencies will then work within your budget and you may not get a true picture of what you are getting.\r\n \r\nFrom the quotes you are given, you will be able to pick the agency you would like to work with and start the process of getting your shop designed. This is not a process that should be rushed, so take your time to find the right retail design agency.\r\n \r\nAnother thing to think about when lunching a shop, is launching an online store. There are lots of different types of eCommerce CMS out there, the most used one that I have found is free open source piece of software called Magento. Yes that\\\'s right FREE! There are so many different things you can do with this system I would definitely advice you to take a look at it.\r\n
