Thinking about renovating your bathroom or building one from scratch involves making the right choices for the many fixtures and installations you need in it. One of the things you have to make decisions on before construction begins on your bathroom is what kind of shower enclosure you will want to have in it. When you are deciding on the kind of shower enclosure you are to use for your bathroom, you will have to consider a few things and these include the amount of space you have, the budget you have for such an enclosure, what you want from such an enclosure and how it can beautify your bathroom.

Of course, if you have a big budget for your bathroom renovation plans, you can easily choose any of the various types of enclosures that are being sold to you. There are enclosures that do more than just keep water in the bathing area and these include shower enclosures that double as steam showers, those that have hydro massage capabilities, have built in baths and even have built in whirlpool baths. What you choose when it comes to these choices depend mainly on the budget that you have for such an installation and on the space your bathroom has for such enclosures.

You will find that most enclosures that come with multiple functions, like those that have hydro massage functions and those that have built-in whirlpool baths, are very big shower enclosures that can easily fit two or more people in them. If you choose a rather large bathroom enclosure with these many different functions, you might find yourself with a bathroom that has very little space for anything else or you can opt to enlarge your bathroom to accommodate the bigger shower enclosure you choose to have in it.

If you are going to choose a basic shower enclosure for your bathroom renovation plans, you can then choose from a number of shapes that can either fit in a corner of the bathroom or can be situated on any wall that you choose to have it on. There are shower enclosures that are come in the form of a phone booth and have the same type of doors these phone booths have although these are often bigger in size than your typical phone booth. There are also shower enclosures that are shaped like the letter D and can easily accommodate two people in them. You should also know that there are shower enclosures that are rectangular in shape and those that are shaped like an archer's bow.

The doors for these enclosures can also vary and your choice also has to do with the space you have in your bathroom. Most people who find that they have very little space in their bathrooms choose to get enclosures that have sliding doors instead of those that have swinging doors. Others who would rather not have sliding doors sometimes choose enclosures that have accordion type doors while some people who want to have swinging doors on their enclosures opt for those that swing in.
