Most companies offer the very basics and require a large fee for more coverage. That's easy enough to get around if you have an insurance company that will cover your car while it is being shipped, though.

Something else to check is whether or not they offer an enclosed trailer. This is a good option for vehicles that are either vintage or high end. It offers a little more protection.

So, if you're looking for a good auto transport service, make sure they know what they're doing. Auto shippers with a few years of experience under their belts will have a good idea as to how to run things and will usually be safer.
