Chiropractic care is very safe and is thought to facilitate the body heal itself. Adjustments are made to the structure which correct what are called subluxations. Subluxations may occur when the joints of the spine fail to move properly and spinal bones move out of alignment, which results in interference with the nerve messages from the brain to the body or the other way round. Muscle balance, organ function, and the body's production of hormones and chemicals can be affected. Such disorder can exist without causing any obvious symptoms, since only about 10 percent of nerves actually perceive pain.

It is important to know and understand that chiropractic treatment is not without risks. Spinal manipulations and neck manipulations must be carefully executed otherwise the repercussions can be serious. You can discuss about your chiropractic treatment with your medical doctor to rule out any possibility of erroneous diagnosis.
