Cheating Spouse Signs: You Cannot Have One Without The Other - By: D.A. Campbell

There are some instances of infidelity where one spouse finds out way too late that their significant other is cheating. There are many others where the spouse never finds out. That's either due to their partner being amazingly skilled at covering up their tracks or they make a decision that they do not want to know. As long as the significant other is giving them the appearance of normalcy within the marriage relationship than that is good enough for them.

Most betrayed spouses however want to know whether their partner is being unfaithful and to what extent. Best to find out and get on with their lives than to constantly live with the fear and suspicion.

But there is no way a cheating spouse is going to make it easy for them. The goal is to keep the affair hidden as long as possible, which could mean forever or at least until they tire of fooling around outside of the marriage.

How to accomplish that? Lying. No spouse can successfully carry on an extramarital affair without this tool and if that's the case than they will need to sharpen their skills. Nothing provides a better training ground for this than cheating on your spouse.

In his article entitled "I Just Can't Hate John Edwards", Eric Alterman writes "Thing is, if adultery is going to happen, then lying is a given. It’s the rare marriage that allows one partner to enjoy sex outside of marriage without doing one’s spouse the favor of lying about it."

And once a cheating spouse goes down this road then they have to lie about almost everything to keep the affair under wraps. Where they are going, how long will they be gone, how was their day, why they cannot keep a previous engagement, how come they are always on the go, what are they looking at online and a whole host of other questions.

It also requires them to keep track of all of the lies and lie some more to cover up the other lies they have already told. That's a rough way to live and an even rougher way to carry on the marriage relationship. Apparently for many philandering spouses its well worth the price.
