There have been complaints in some circles that the institution of marriage is under assault. And to be fair these people it seems have ample evidence to prove their point. Or so it seems.

On more than a few talk shows their have discussions on the alarming divorce rate, whether the whole concept of marriage is outdated or if it is even possible to be monogamous.

And then there is infidelity. What was once considered undeniably wrong has suddenly gone mainstream with commercials advertising websites that offer to help you cheat on your spouse. We've come along way from the hushed whispers of day time soap operas and it looks like we are about to go a lot further.

An iPhone application known as Tiger Text was just recently launched. According to the ANI news agency, "TigerText enables the sender to set a lifespan for the message. Once this ends, the app erases the text from both the sender’s and recipient’s phones." As Paula Hall, a counselor for Relate Institute tells ANI, "For couples where infidelity is a possibility, this just makes cheating easier." Where infidelity is a possibility means it could affect roughly half of all married couples.

This is in addition to the computer applications that help a cheating spouse cover their online activities. The threat of cyber infidelity is a real threat to marriages and many relationship experts believe we have not even scratched the surface when it comes to that.

Is help on the way? Kind of. It seems iPhone is playing both sides of the fence with the release of SpyApp. This iPhone application keeps track text messages, phone calls and GPS.

It's high tech that sounds like something out of science fiction. Unfortunately in this day and age when it comes to catching a cheating spouse it still might not be enough.
