Cheap Printing Tips for Posters and Advertisements - By: Allan Michael Taylor

Posters and cards are very popular because of one thing: they are cost efficient and make effective promotional and advertising materials. Small businesses and companies widely make use of posters for advertising and promotional purposes. Maybe you should, too.

Cheap printing for posters is a popular option, especially if your business is still small and you don't have that big of a budget to market your business. They cost significantly less, but still are able to give you the necessary exposure for the message you want to reach to your market.

Why print posters? Are they really cost effective? Of course they are - posters are designed and printed according to your marketing strategy and requirements. If executed carefully, posters are the single most effective visual marketing tool. You just have to know which buttons to push.

Your posters must stand out - they should be attention grabbing! Of course, you can do this by adding folds, special trims and tear off designs, but they will mean additional costs - not what you particularly call 'cheap printing'. However, you can make your posters as attention grabbing but at a cheaper cost. Be resourceful and innovative, and do not resort to using these additional costs if they can be avoided.

For instance, grab somebody's attention by using vivid and contrasting colors like red and yellow, yellow and black, red and blue... whatever works. Use huge and bold letters so they scream at every person passing by your poster! Make use of an image for aesthetic and visual purposes, but don't go too overboard by putting too many images. Studies have found that every additional image diminishes the advertisement's efficiency. A spa putting a dozen images on all the type of massages they offer will more likely be ignored by people. However, a single but strong image is enough to put your message across.

The poster's location and distribution is another cheap printing tip. You don't have to print as many posters as you can and paste them in as many walls as you can. Knowing the most sellable locations, where most people are most likely to see it, is the key. Place it on locations where people are most likely to idle around for a period of time, such as on lounges, bus stops, waiting lines, etc. If you think placing the posters in the busiest and most crowded locations are good, think again. These people are least likely to stop at what they're doing to look at your poster. Your ad will most likely be ignored and unnoticed.

At the end of the day, the poster's viewers don't care about the type of paper, the type of printing, or the printing press that printed your poster. All they care about is your message and how it was executed. Once you pique their interest, that could generate to sales and profit—and this is always a welcome for your business.
