When you get a new iPhone this is a very exciting time and it can be very tempting to tear it out of the box and to start playing with it before you've read the instructions or any articles. This is a mistake however as using any device incorrectly can shorten its lifespan and this could quickly mean that you require a company to repair an iPhone.

One area in which correct use can make a big difference is how you charge your iPhone battery. The iPhone battery tends to last about a day and a half and it generally will be many years before you have any difficulty with it. However this is only if you use it correctly, and if you are reckless with how you go about charging and using your iPhone battery then you'll find that the charge doesn't last as long as it should, that you waste electricity thus costing you a bigger phone bill, and that you eventually need it replaced by an iPhone repairs company.

The first thing to bear in mind is how you go about charging the iPhone the first time you get it. It's important when you get any device new to take the time to fully charge the battery before you begin using it. If you only partially charge the battery the first time then this will mean that the battery is never able to hold as much charge as it should be and this means you'll never get quite as useful and practical a device as you should have.

From here you'll then still need to charge your phone probably at least once a day if you are going to be using it heavily. This then means that you should charge it in the night or in the morning and a lot of people will charge their phones over night. This is a good idea as it means that your alarm will be ready in the morning and that you'll be able to use it for the day without having to wait around for it to charge. Do bear in mind though that this doesn't mean you should leave the iPhone charger permanently plugged in and doing so is a big mistake as it means that you will be using up a lot of energy. It's important to remember here that an iPhone charger even without the iPhone itself uses up the same amount of energy as charging it does. This is a big waste and while it won't affect the phone itself it's certainly something you should avoid doing.

What's also a good idea is to occasionally let your iPhone battery run all the way down so that it turns off. This helps to keep your battery holding maximum charge for longer and will prevent you from needing iPhone repairs as soon.

Should your iPhone battery start running low more quickly or stop holding charge at all then you will need iPhone repairs as there are no screws or removable case to let you change the battery yourself.
