Cellulite is the word used to refer to the fatty deposits that cause a dimpled or uneven appearance of the skin, usually around the thighs and buttocks. Cellulite is a fat storage in the adipose cells in the hypodermis. The connective strands, that envelop adipose cells, stiffen, swell and pull down the skin at their attachment points. This gives rise to some sections of skin being held down while others bulge outward (orange peel skin). Cellulite describes dimpling of skin, caused by the protrusion of subcutaneous fat into the dermis creating an undulating dermal-subcutaneous fat junction adipose tissue.

Unfortunately, cellulite is heredity in about 85% percent of women. Even thin women can have some cellulite. Some medical experts feel it may be partially caused by female hormones. Cellulite is a term coined in European salons and spas to describe deposits of dimpled fat found on the thighs and buttocks of many women.

Eating well balanced diet, drink large amounts of water and preventing high fat foodstuffs can treat cellulite.

Apply Cellulite cream products with ingredients like kola nut, ivy barley, strawberry, sweet clover, lemon and algae to decrease cellulite.

Dried thyme and little amount of grapefruit juice are added to the corn oil. After that, apply this combination on the buttocks, hips and thighs. At last, set a heating pad on the complete region for a few minutes.

Massaging your body can help prevent cellulite from forming while it also helps to battle cellulite that already exists. To begin, try basic massage techniques. Take some anti-cellulite aromatherapy oil and mix it with fresh water and apply the oil on the hips and thighs for a few minutes. This will helps in reducing cellulite.

Do exercises that will help you loose weight on your legs and buttocks. Do special exercises to improve muscles in your thighs like walking, cycling, climbing stairs, yoga and pilates. Once there is a build up of muscles cellulite will disappear.

A person must follow a low fat diet and a high fiber which includes large quantity of fruits and vegetables. This is the best way to reduce cellulite.

Try natural body scrub products during your shower routine and use a loofah pad, massage brush or other cleansing tool to release dry and dead skin cells so new, healthy ones can form.

The reality is that fat cannot ever be completely be eliminated without serious health reprecussions. Even after liposuction, fat and cellulite will come back and the dangers of such an invasive process are often much worse than the problem of unaesthetic cellulite.

An herbal product called Cellasene is being vigorously promoted as a cellulite remedy. The product was developed by an Italian chemist named Gianfranco Merizzi. Its ingredients are evening primrose oil, dried fucus vesiculosis extract, gelatine, fish oil, glycerol, soya oil, grape seed, bioflavonoids, soya lecithin, fatty acids, dried sweet clover extract, dried ginkgo biloba extract, and iron oxide. The product, to be taken twice daily for two months and then once daily for maintenance costs $1.50 to $2.00 per capsule.
