Celebrity news: Who’s in the house? - By: Leanne Miller

Celebrity news: Who’s in the house? It has been a busy first week for Channel 5 with the return of Big Brother, but we don’t all have time to follow the celebrity news on a day-to-day basis. So here is a quick guide to the housemates that are now settled in to the all-new house.

Kerry Katona - 30-year-old former girl band star Kerry has had quite a journey since she left Atomic Kitten. Not only did she win I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, she has also appeared in Dancing on Ice, has her very own reality show on ITV2 and has even found time to have four kids.

Tara Reid - At the age of 35, the US-based actress has certainly made a name for herself. A renowned party girl, she’s rarely out of the celebrity gossip pages. However, she’s also managed to clock up appearances in movies that range from American Pie to The Big Lebowski.\r

Paddy Doherty - Paddy hasn’t been on our radar for that long and only really has one claim to fame, as one of the stars of the incredibly popular series My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. However, he is also a former bare-knuckle fighter – which may come in handy when there is only one tea bag left in the BB kitchen.

Amy Childs - Another one who has seemingly only been with us for a short time, Amy Childs has shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex – a TV show she quit to join Celebrity Big Brother for its return to our screens. By day, Amy is also a beautician and advocate of plastic surgery.

Darryn Lyons - The Australian native has made a name for himself in the world of photography and is one of the most respected (for want of a better phrase) paparazzi in the business. As the head of agency Big Pictures, he may well run into some disgruntled stars in the house.

Sally Bercow - Mainly famous for being married to her House of Commons speaker husband John, Sally is a pretty outspoken mother-of-three and likes to make her feelings known to anyone who will listen. She could be explosive.

Lucien Laviscount - The youngest of the gang (if you count Jedward as one person with a combined age of 38), Lucien is perhaps best known for his status as a former Coronation Street actor. But apart from that, he has also appeared in Grange Hill and more recently, Waterloo Road.

Pamela Bach Hasselhoff - The surname probably says as much as you need to know, but yes, Pamela is the ex-wife of former Knight Rider and Baywatch actor David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff – to whom she was wed for 16 years.

Bobby Sabel – 25-year-old male model Bobby is perhaps the most loosely-hailed ‘celebrity’ in the 2011 Big Brother house, but having worn clothes for a range of high profile brands like Levi’s and Ted Baker, he does just about qualify.

Jedward – Having somehow ambled their way through a number of stages of the X Factor, 19-year-old twins John and Edward Grimes have inexplicably remained in the public consciousness and look set to continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Not the first BB twins, but definitely the most annoying. They still continue to remain in the celebrity news on a day-to-day basis but lets hope 2012 sees an end to this.
