Carved blessings in stone - By: DeRosa

Tips and Thoughts

In everything give thanks: for this is the will.

Giving thanks for what you have received, are receiving, or will receive is a way of showing gratitude. It is a way of giving back of you from yourself.

It promotes an on going wave of goodness that multiples each time.

It is an individual's choice to be part of that wave, or choose not to and stand stagnant in a shallow pool.

There are many ways of giving thanks:
Thoughts, words, actions, time, and your possessions.

Thoughts-
Remembering all the blessings you have received, the people that have helped you along the way. A school teacher, family, and personal relationships.

There's a saying that goes "Learn how to write your hutts in sand and carve your blessings in stone."

Focus on the positive, and have a positive outlook and attract the positive into your life.

Words-
A simple thank you either written or spoken helps promote that wave of goodness. Words have the power to bring to life and to strengthen that wave of goodness someone has brought you. Let the goodness from your heart flow out through your words.

Not saying anything or using words in a negative way is a quick way to put an end to the wave.

Actions-
These are the little things we do for others. Buying flowers for a loved one, giving gifts on special occasions. Helping someone move, paint, a ride, baking cookies. Make these actions personal to make it even more effective.

Time-
This is a special way of giving thanks because time is precious.
Volunteering is a good example of giving thanks through time. It's a way of giving back to the community.

Time spent with your loved ones.

Time spent alone. Recharging, reflecting.

Possessions - Money
Give me money, and trust me, I will thank you.

Do you tip your waitress 10% 12%, 15%?
You do it as a way of saying thank you.

Putting these principles of giving thanks with money will prosper you.

A farmer in Iowa planting his field.
A school teacher putting together a lesson plan.
A financial investor looking at investments.

All three know about the principle of sowing and reaping.

Give thanks and multiple the goodness, Don't give thanks and don't expect much in return.

The principle of giving thanks is something that is like the law of gravity, it has been a law from the beginning. It is that unseen wave. Giving thanks to the source of all the good you receive puts you in the same flow with that abundance of goodness.

Now does it really work?

Giving thanks for what you have received, are receiving, and will receive.

In 1855 a young man made $95 dollars that year, gave $9 dollars and fifty cents away.
Between 1855 and 1934 he gave away over $531 million dollars. Above and beyond the 10% he had been given.

The young man's name? John D. Rockefeller.

William Colgate(Colgate toothpaste) would give 50% of his income away. As evidenced in his bookkeeping records with the account labeled "Account with the Lord".

Giving thanks puts you in that wave of goodness and abundance.

Does it really work? You'll have to test it out.

And in giving thanks always for all things, I also want to thank you for the time spent here.
