Can You Holiday in Wales With Your Dog? - By: Conrad Sexton

.
Holidays should be fun and include the whole family. For many people, imagine taking the dog too rather than leaving it behind in a kennel or with your dog sitter for a week or two. Wales is a lovely country to explore and there's no shortage of facilities where four-legged friends are just as welcome.

If you are holiday with a dog, look particularly at Pembrokeshire, as it is especially well-equipped to suit dogs.

Daily, you can go on a variety of walks in the area, choosing a length and terrain to accommodate both you and your dog companion. Pembrokeshire Coast National Playground Authority handles many routes that dogs will love.

You will need to keep animals under control, possibly on a guide, and, as ever, make sure to clean up after these. But you can still both enjoy anything ranging from nine miles along this National Cycle Network in Brunel Quay to your gentle one-mile stroll round Carew Castle.

On top of that, you can take a guided tour within the castle itself providing the dog has some sort of lead on.

Once you've worn yourselves out, you'll want somewhere to fix for refreshments or to retire for the night. Doubtless you know about hotels and pubs that do not permit doggy patrons, but in Wales there are plenty of establishments happy to welcome everyone.
