Can MLM Fortune be Found In This New Marketing Strategy? - Conference Part 2 - By: peterbennett

As a continuation from an article posted yesterday, the conference continues to provide food for thought

The crowd is a buzz with excitement and there is a feeling of hope and independence in the air.

Sitting here half way through the morning session, I begin to understand and see one of the key differences between traditional marketing strategies and those used online.

The well overdue announcement is that the company wants an online presence and will develop one through its advertising campaign.

The audience are quick to show their appreciation and gratitude for the new developments.
The company was about to enter a new age with new online strategies.

The plan is to strategically market itself supported by its products and its long and trusted history in the market place.

The campaign will be supported in the press through national advertising and its objective is to increase its reputation and credibility in the market place.

Who could complain, it's a good and a positive thing for the company's future development.

It's at this point that I start to wonder what it all means and identifying an area that I struggle to comprehend.

With the company now promoting itself and its products on a larger scale, I start to think about who the real benefactors will be.

Since day one here online I have been taught to never lead with your product yet here i am watching a multinational company release a strategy that does exactly that.

Listen carefully enough and we see that your business success depend on you directing your prospects to a company website that will sell itself and its products on your behalf. How does this sell you?.

One of the first things I ever learn in the field of sales was that people will not buy anything off you if they don't like you. It is you that needs to be sold before you can sell anything else.

Having said that, in all fairness I see some merit in this strategy if you are one of those people that like to purely sell products.

This is a people's business and if you are really trying to grow your business, it is the recruitment of people into YOUR business that will see you grow.

If by chance you have not been introduced to Attraction marketing, you need to look it up and study it as a priority.

It is simply the best and most affordable way to escape the advertising clutter and position yourself as someone of value that people might want to know.

Building your personal reputation as an expert in your field will see yourself positioning yourself first with your product or service second. By delivering value and developing trust, your chances to succeed increase significantly.

It can be argued that duplication has its place in this industry but what shouln't be argued is the need for individualism. It is your business; you need to treat it like one.

Simply ask yourself. How are you different to anyone else selling an opportunity? What separates you from the rest?

Are you different from the rest? Do you stand out amongst you competition?.

Become the hunted and not the hunter.

Utilize your company's strategies by combining them with your own. The list of company's competing in this industry is endless but there will always be only one of you.

Now, that's a competitive edge!
