The Callaway FT-iQ Driver is called “one of the most interesting drivers”. Callaway Golf has certainly revealed some of its most advanced technological innovations into this driver. The FT-iQ revolves around its strongest four points: hyperbolic face design, head design, fusion technology, and weighting strategy. Golf Digest recently gave it a Gold rating, and although the club might look a bit strange at first, you'll be surprised at how well this driver hits.

One of the main reasons that everyone is raving about the Callaway FT-iQ is the new hyperbolic design at the cupface; through countless studies, Callaway has determined that this design produces a significantly faster speed and less spin than the FT-i, its older brother. This driver is reported to produce a very forgiving hit. It's built for the average player to launch the ball each and every hit. The FT-iQ is sure to give a long and straight shot, beginner or otherwise.

Another fantastic feature of the Callaway FT-iQ is the club head shape. Like many other drivers at the industry standard, this club is a 460cc, but the way it's crafted is perfect for distance, control, reduced speed, and penetration. The club head has a high moment of inertia, limiting the potential of spin on each hit. It also is designed to keep face height, thickness, and center of gravity playing at their best. Combined, these factors are ensuring maximum forgiveness while retaining control, keeping the ball straight as it flies off the tee.

Fusion technology combines a titanium face cup with a carbon composite body. Such a pairing stabilizes every hit. Callaway takes advantage of both materials to soften up the off-center shots and drive them towards center. The FT-iQ simply epitomizes clever configuration with this fusion technology. It also takes on a sneaky weighting strategy. Callaway allocates Draw weighting to the back corners in order to reduce slices and fades. If you already have a nice, straight shot, Callaway has a Neutral weighting option to give a lower and more powerful shot.

Overall, the Callaway FT-iQ gets a solid 4.6 out of 5. Customers are saying that its easy to use, has incredible distance, and fires fairly straight. When compared to the older FT-i, the FT-iQ produces so much less spin, which increases overall distance. A customer coming back from a 15-year break fired around 250 yards before, and now fires over 270 yards straight down the middle with the FT-iQ. The only setback for this driver is the cost; some don't feel that the price tag is worth the extra yards, but others wish they would've invested in the driver earlier.
