Caffeine and Breast Cancer - By: Dan Brathers

A new study has found that the amount of caffeine that one consumes has nothing to do with breast cancer.

The investigators observed the habits of over 35,000 women of a duration of four years. Their results showed that there was no correlation among breast cancer and the consumption of caffeine, although certain women that have signs of benign disease in their breasts have an increased chance.

After following the data of dietary habits, the observers discovered that within a decade over 1,100 women did develop invasive breast cancer. The consumption of caffeine was not an important factor as far as developing a risk of having breast cancer.

Despite this discovery, among women that have benign breast disease it was shown there was a high risk of developing breast cancer among those who had over cups of coffee daily.

It is widely known that an intake of a high amount of caffeine promotes the progression of the pre-malignant breast injuries to breast cancer. This is because of the fact that many forms of enveloping breast cancer is believed to come from certain pre-malignant breast injuries.

However, this is no correlation amongst women who have less than four cups of coffee on a daily basis.

The discoveries are marginal for women who have benign breast disease, but there still is further investigation to be done.

Earlier studies stated that caffeine that is found in many of the products we use on a dialy basis such as soft drinks, coffee, and tea could possibly play a significant role in developing breast cancer.

Despite the errors of these earlier studies, many researchers are still investigating the possible links to between dieting and breast cancer. Many scientists note that these studies are not always the easiest to interpret. Later studies could bring about different conclusions and outcomes.
