The reading habit should be developed in the students from the very beginning of his school or college days, so that he does not feel burdened or pressured by the sudden attack of books all around him. The student should keep this point in mind, that he is doing this activity for a purpose and should not keep on blindly reading the books ignoring the real essence.

The process needs to be very fast and this comes only after practise. Student has to get used to of breaking long sentences and making the right perceptions out it, so that he is able to crack the right meaning at the time of examination.

Other than the reading ability, the students appearing for CAT should have great analysing and reasoning ability. These two are also the most important parts of the examination, which counts a major share of success of the students in CAT. Having good hands in Mathematics, general awareness, logical reasoning are the necessities for a student to make a place for him in the CAT merit list. Confidence: The student should not panic and should have enough confidence to not let himself loose concentration.

Preparation: The student should always be well prepared for the exam and should not leave anything for the end moment. Cracking the Cat entrance test is not an easy task, but the student should not loose hope and must prepare at his best.

Concentration: This is the most important aspect for the student while giving the exam. The student must be very much concentrated in the question paper and the answers he is giving. Loosing concentration, would not only waste time, but also invite panic, resulting in the spoiling of the examination.

The management colleges are very choosy in giving admission to the students, because they do not want any harm to their name. Therefore, the student should make them competent enough, that they stand true on the expectations of colleges and create a win- win situation for themselves.
