Amsterdam--the name inspires thoughts of impressionists and culture. Rembrandt and Vermeer in Rijksmuseum and the disturbing paintings of Van Gogh. The historic downtown, the culture and the canals are one reason to visit this great capital. Of course, for others it's the spirit of "tolerance" for things like soft drugs(pot smoking) and legal red light district which make it an interesting destination. As an observer at least.

There are up to 300 budget hotels in Amsterdam. Most of these hotels are 2*, 3* and 4* hotels. The minority are the 5 star luxury hotels. Amsterdam has about fifteen luxury hotels with 5 stars. They are Amsterdam's treasure. The hotels are the keepers of the long and rich history of the capital city of the Netherlands. I will try to make a short description of the most important hotels that I have visit in Amsterdam the last year.

Amsterdam is one of the most popular European city destinations, offering many sights to see and things to do. One can visit for the high density of museums, its canals or even its legal red light district and coffee shops. Whatever you are looking for, tolerant Amsterdam has it.

To help you to get the booking process done correctly, there are several key things that you will want to take into consideration when it comes to your hotel choice. First, consider the location. Is it near to the things that you need? Second, determine if the hotel offers the necessary and desirable amenities that you are looking for? Third, determine the cost. Cheap Amsterdam hotel deals can be an ideal plan if you are going to make expenses according to your budget. Even though these budget hotels of Amsterdam are not providing that much of comfortable and luxurious facilities like the grand hotels of Amsterdam, yet it is affordable and suitable to the needs of a traveler.
