Breast Size Indicator of Diabetes - By: Albertus Tri Susanto

Is it true that breast size can be used as a measure of person developing diabetes?

This was revealed based on research conducted in Canada by researchers from the University of Toronto, Canada. The research was conducted based on data they collect, with the background that they get that many women who suffer from diabetes but they are less aware of it.

Then the researchers began to conduct surveys about the bra size to 90,000 women aged 30-years old when they were 20-years old. The survey was conducted in English.

Results of the survey respondents and researchers that have been conducted in the United Kingdom by the researchers, compared the data with women who affected by diabetes. And apparently the result of comparison was mentioned that 37% of women with bra cup size 'B' at the age of 20 have a higher risk of diabetes compared to women with a bra cup size 'A' at the age of 20. For aged woman with bra cup size 'C' has a higher risk of diabetes, namely up to 80%.

How could this happen and what is the basic theory of such research?

The researchers mention a theory that the fat in breast tissue, also called adipose, was allegedly having an influence in the formation of a person's resistance to the effects of insulin, although this theory has not been 100% proven true. It added, which contained fatty tissue inside the abdomen and back can also increase a person's risk of developing diabetes.
