Book Review for: Game of Thrones - By: Gordon Tillman

As soon as Eddard leaves the to the north, his bastard son, Jon Snow, goes to the wall while using the intent to "take that black, " and are a protector. Jon has an interesting story to inform as he comes to just accept his new lifestyle.

Robert's girl, Cersei, is a person in the Lannisters, who are wealthy and influential within their own right. Cersei has 3 children she is determined to protect together with secure their birthright as Robert's heirs, however, to consider she keeps close to her breast threatens to destroy Westros from the inside.

Another outside threat emanates from the previous defeated king's progeny : Daenerys. A young woman, Daenerys and her brother, Viserys Targaryen, have sought out the help of the Dothraki to increase an army and take back Robert's throne.

When Robert dies in a hunting accident, many find when you play the adventure of thrones you win or you die.

Martin's novel is incredibly long, but encompasses three major plots and then a host of characters. His writing is easy to read. His descriptions use a good economy of words to help paint vivid pictures without the need of lingering. The plot is actually intricate, but moves well, and keeps the visitor turning the page.

What helps make this book shine could be the characters - all of them are interesting and unique - plus they all have a story to know. Daenerys was one associated with my favorites. The reader meets her a little daughter woman who learns being more assertive with a sort heart who gains resolve from love and heartbreak. Probably the most rewarding aspect of Daenerys and her story is watching her assume her full heritage as a Targaryen.

"Game of Thrones" will require the reader through a gambit of emotions and leave them hungering with regard to more.

Prologue

The story begins which includes a prologue, set in some sort of moonlit but cold natrual enviroment. Three men, brothers with the Night's watch have seen a camp of wildlings, web dead. When they glimpse closer, the wildlings have passed away, soon to be swapped out by unnatural creatures, who soon kill two with the three men.

Chapter 1 - Bran

That book portrays the story in the point-of-view fashion. The title of an chapter means we begin to see the chapter's story as the character in the title spots it.

Bran is a 7-year-old boy who is taken in a company of about 20 men to see his first King's Rights. A man, bound hand and foot is all about to be beheaded by Bran's father, Lord Eddard Stark, for desertion. It is the third man from the prologue, about half mad from terror. Bran people this bravely. After they return to Winterfell, their property, Bran's brother Robb together with his bastard brother Jon Snow find a huge dead Direwolf, using 5 wolf pups. Jon convinces their mother to let them keep the pups. 5 pups undoubtedly are a sign. He tells theirs mother the pups were suitable for his 5 trueborn little ones, 3 boys and two girls. He leaves himself because of this count but later sees the sixth pup, driven faraway from the rest. The sixth pup is an albino and will belong to Jon.
