When a person buys a car he knows that it will be with him for sufficiently long time. However, after some time he has to change some of its parts. The spoiler counters this upward thrust and enables the car to maintain a firm grip on the road. Apart from the upward thrust the moving car also experiences a drag which reduces the speed of the car. The spoiler counters the drag as well. Sometimes a front spoiler is also used which is installed below the front bumper, and its effect is similar to the rear mounted spoiler. Similarly, side skirts also regulate the flow of air around the car. The spoilers thus improve the aerodynamics as well as traction of the car.

Body kits are usually made of polyurethane, or fiberglass, or carbon fiber. One can select body kits online. One can know there their designs and also know which material has been used in making them and its merits and demerits.
