Blackheads are just another form of acne and should be treated in a similar fashion.

They are caused by the same culprits that create other forms of acne.

Blackheads usually think in oily areas of the skin, areas such as the nose, brow and chin.

These areas of the face have more oil glands than the cheeks and the neck.

When your skin sheds its lifeless skin cells the cells that don’t shed appropriately mix with the extra oils in those oily areas and clog the pore.

Blackheads and other acne are fashioned under the same state of affairs, but the residue clogging the pores in blackheads harden and form a plug.

Blackheads are follicles that have wider opening than the normal.

They are also known as open comedones and are often caused by over lively sebaceous glands. Blackheads appear on the face, back, chest and other parts that have sebaceous glands.

Causes of Blackheads

Blackheads are caused when excess skin oil, sebum and congesting toxins are expelled through your skin from the blood and lymph fluid that supplies your skin with nutrients.

These congesting toxins joint with skin oil and sebum clogs your pores causing blackheads, whiteheads, and full blown acne. Dirt also plays a big role in developing skin blackheads.

Symptoms of Blackheads

Blackheads are open to the skin's surface and become darkened at the surface by exposure to oxygen (oxidation).

They are called open comedones (or comedo, singular). Whiteheads are closed from the skin's surface by cellular debris at the follicle opening.

Treatment of Blackheads

Blackheads are treatable, though it’s important to remember that they will not simply disappear overnight.

Squeezing or option should rarely be done as it can cause damage and irritation leading to more severe types of acne.

Benzoyl Peroxide. Benzoyl remove the color is effectual in the treatment of blackheads because it works to dry up the spot and help it to flake away.

Benzoyl peroxide should be applied to the affected area after first cleansing the skin.

Home Remedies for Blackheads

1. Prepare a paste of oatmeal or almond and apply it on the face. Mix either oatmeal or almond fine particles with rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin.

Rub it on skin with fingertips especially on the affected areas. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes and then wash off with cold water.

2. Make a solution of one and a semi cups of hot water and half a tablespoon of boric powder. It is also an helpful home remedy for blackheads.

3. Mix fresh limejuice with some ground drumstick pods and leaves. It has good results on the treatment of blackheads.

4. Warm a little honey and be relevant on the blackhead areas. Wash off after 10-15 minutes. It is also a good remedy for blackheads.

5. Make a paste of earth radish seeds with water and be relevant on face to remove blackheads.

6. Prepare a mixture of 1 tsps groundnut oil with 1 tsp fresh limejuice. Apply it to prevent the formation of blackheads and pimples.
