Blackberry LCD Screen - Having Your Broken Blackberry Screen Fixed - By: J.J. Yong

Blackberry's; no not the delicious fruit but the equally if not more delicious smart phone that has become the talk of the day is bursting in today's market. When you finally make a purchase and get to call it as your own, there's no doubting that you would treat it like your very own baby, making sure it gets the best care. But, accidents do happen and Blackberry screens can easily get damaged, so if your phone takes a fall and needs a fix, don't stress out just yet.

To get your hands on a Blackberry already costs a lot, you can bet your bottom dollar that fixing it would cost quite a lot too. So if you can't afford to have your broken Blackberry screen fixed in the stores, then you can do it yourself but it would require quite a lot of patience. To get started, look for a new screen by purchasing it from your neighboring stores or by typing in your Blackberry model, you'd be able to find it through various online stores and get the best price too.

Once you've got your new screen, remove the broken one with a simple trick. Get a flathead screwdriver and by pressing it against the bad screen, you can break of the silver piece that holds it in place. It works to just slot in the screwdriver into the ear piece a little and twist off that silver piece. Next you'd have to pry off the screen by lifting it up with the screwdriver, making sure to do it gently so that you don't ruin the edges of your Blackberry. It helps to use a piece of a paper to slip under the screen so that you don't scratch your Blackberry with the screwdriver.

Lift up the screen gently and don't try to pry the whole thing from the one side or you would risk damaging your Blackberry and making it worse. Instead, loosen the sides gently and by the time you work on each side, it should be good enough to lift off the Blackberry's body. Now It's time to check and see that your new screen fits, so remove it from the plastic protector and place it over the Blackberry and make sure it's the right size and doesn't require force to be placed in. You might also want to shoot some air on it using a hair dryer or the likes of it to make sure that there is no debris of any sort on the screen, because you wouldn't be able to clean the inside once you place the screen in.

When you're satisfied and know that it can fit, this is where the messy part comes in; the special double sided tape. This is where the patience comes it, so make sure you're relaxed and can do it properly. You need to place the tape in line with the Blackberry, making sure you follow every line and cut out properly. Don't press the tape down with your nail or anything, just place all the pieces in place first, make sure you place it on the Blackberry and not on the screen. Move it into position if it moves out and when you're ready to finalize it, use the Xacto knife and press it in place. Once done, remove the adhesive and gently press the new screen in place too.

You're done!
