Birmingham UK, Best Places to Visit and the Best Quality Hotels and Birmingham Hotels to Stay in. - By: EssMark

A UK break is guaranteed to be something that can be enjoyed by all ages and tastes. Whether you are looking for culture from the numerous museums dotted this quaint island or, the beautiful country sights to see. The UK is a country that you can't help but enjoy.

The UK is one of Europe's main city break holiday locations thanks to a special mix of different attractions and heritage it has to offer. There is so much going for it, it's hard to know where to start.

First is the ease of getting there, depending on where you are coming from of course. There are more than 28 airports in the UK, and one of them is bound to be close to where you want to go. Depending on what you want to do and where you want to go your travel arrangements should not be a problem. There are excellent train and bus services to be found, and of course the subway and classic "black cabs" when you're in London.

The UK is a great place to wonder around and explore, just because there is so much of it to look at. If you want good shopping and an exciting nightlife then aim for one of the big cities, like Birmingham or Newcastle. Birmingham is a fantastic city, not only because it has so much industrial background that is documented across the cities museums but because it has recently gone through a regeneration process with a lot of the city centre being brought up to the modern day. The "Bullring" is the busiest shopping centre in the UK, with 36.5 million visitors in 2004 and there is guaranteed to be something there to suit your tastes.

Another shopping centre close by is the Mailbox which I guess is classed as more of a "multi-use building" as it is home to offices, designer shops, restaurants, bars and luxury city-centre apartments as well as three art galleries. BBC Birmingham is also housed in the Mailbox where the general public are able to watch radio and television broadcasts in production at the all-access public foyer. If Birmingham does sound like the place for you then you're in luck. There are a large number of Birmingham hotels to choose from, all with different locations and their own individual qualities, just look for Birmingham hotel descriptions or take a look at Comfort Inn Hotels. As I mentioned before, the nightlife there is second to none. There are some of the best places to eat in the whole of the UK, with foods from all over the world. If you're looking for entertainment then look no more as Birmingham is home to the Electric Cinema (it claims to be the oldest cinema in the UK), the Symphony Hall, The REP and of course the NIA (The National Indoor Arena). If you're looking for a more lively night out then your first stop should be the famous Broad Street as it is full of clubs and lively wine bars.

Birmingham has all the entertainment you could need in one place. If you're feeling a flush then visit the jewellery quarter and find something that really floats your feather. A new ring? A watch? Whatever it is you'll be able to find it there. The jewellery quarter is associated with the production of jewellery as well as coins/medals in Birmingham. It is also recognized as the birthplace of several pioneering breakthroughs in industrial technology. The Jewellery Quarter's significance within the international jewellery business has dropped through much of the 20th century and it is now currently being changed into a urban village and also a domain for innovative businesses, while attempting trying to preserve its urban roots.

I'm not quite sure on what the other three quarters of Birmingham are, but I know they're all great. I know that like every big city worth visiting, Birmingham has its own China Town. As you'd assume this is where the very best Chinese restaurants are. The Birmingham China Town has a booming nightlife, and an abundance of bars, clubs and theatres.

Where ever you decide to visit in the UK, please make sure that you have a good time on your trip and enjoy yourself. Make the most of your time in the UK and fit in as many attractions as you can, whilst remembering to relax and take it easy. After all, it wouldn’t be classed as a break if you were doing more work on your holiday than back at home!
