Best Tourist Attractions in Barcelona - By: Asifkhan

Barcelona is not strange to the tourism world out there. This second largest city of Spain is full of rich traditions and arts that anyone in this planet will enjoy. Through the recent years, Barcelona has become one of the most famous tourist destinations in Europe. There is nothing to wonder about the reason behind the huge popularity of Barcelona. With the year round perfect weather and countless numbers of places for sightseeing in Barcelona , everyone has something to see in this exciting spot of the Planet.

The Museum of the History of Barcelona has all you need to know about Barcelona's history and its popular traditions that are exhibited on three floors. If you're a history fanatic, like me, this is not one you want to pass by.

Sagrada Familia, one of Antoni Gaudi's greatest creations, is the most visited attraction, with 2,000,000 visitors each year. The giant temple has been under construction since 1882. The museum you find inside gives the details of the development and offers information about the Sagrada Familia.

Casa Mila - is one famous attractions, people come here especially to see the unique design of the apartment block. The place has an exhibition hall that gives excess to the roof area. Casa Mila was built in the year 1911, it took nearly six years to build this attractive apartment block. Casa Mila is famously known by the name La Pedrera.

Right next door to the Aquarium is the amazing IMAX cinema. This usually offers a double bill, often a 3-D showing and a normal IMAX cinema film. This is an amazing experience with the screen much bigger and wider than your average cinema screen, and the made-for-IMAX movies are breathtaking.

The Cable cars. There are 2 great cable car rides in Barcelona - one from just next to the Miro foundation and Greek theatre on Montjüic which takes riders all the way to the summit of Montjüic with the old castle and some amazing views of the port and the old town. The other leaves Miramar, a lookout, and goes all the way across the water (usually over the top of the odd cruise ship) and down to Barceloneta beach. Either one is a great trip for the kids, and queues are usually tolerable and entertaining whilst you view the comings and goings of fellow tourists.
