Of the more than one hundreds beautiful and picturesque places to practice photography in Prescott Arizona, the scenery around Watson Lake in Granite Dells is the best.The combination of the giant granite boulders surrounding the small lake in the middle of a dry desert is awe-inspiring. This place gets the best of all four seasons and is a pleasure to explore. You can find all the creature comforts for a romantic picnic, ramadas, barbecue pits and even a place to play a game of horseshoes; all amid the awesome panorama that only nature could have made. This is one of the loveliest spots in Arizona and it is completely different during each season that you will never have enough shots to tell the full story.

Not a day's drive from Prescott is the Yavapai County, Arizona is what can only be described as a beacon for naturalists and geologist alike. The rock formations are dynamic and seem to come to life depending on how the sun plays along the small cliffs and edges of each one. You can also find in this same area the "Coyote Buttes" the sand dunes offer a great panorama of photographic opportunity. Photography is primarily about the artist's impression of what he/she is viewing. This gives each photographer a chance to shoot at the same angles and the real kicker is that no two photographs will catch the same scene.

Although there is a lot of development around Willow Lake it still maintains most of its natural beauty and is highly recommend as a place for photography buffs. The lake is nestled in the Granite Dells and can provide hours of enjoyment. Known to anglers the world over a lot of time is spent by fishing photographers trying to get that perfect shot of the large Mouth Bass as he whips into the air.

Finally you could spend the day hiking through the Prescott National Forest. You are sure to find more than a few sites of interest among the hundred year old pines. These tall majestic beauties stand proud as if guarding the King's treasure. The forest is teeming with the animals that are waiting to be immortalized on film. Wildlife photography is a great way to get your name and brand seen on the Internet. Everybody likes a picture of the antics of small furry creatures in their natural habitat.

Arizona is a great place for a variety of photographic opportunities. It has several different types of terrain and a lot of historical presence. Just riding along the highways in this State will make you feel as if you are in a photo or painting. Truly, it is one of the last areas of the country with areas of unspoiled beauty.
